Children assimilate knowledge during these formative years more than at any other time. Therefore, the importance of quality care and education during these years is vital.

We have a commitment to an approach that pursues children's abilities to learn through play, have fun and develop at their own pace. It's an approach that is an ideal preparation for the national curriculum when they reach school age.

Favourite activities include yoga, gardening, painting, play-dough, cooking and treasure baskets. At this age children are able to learn new skills easily, so Abacus also offers the opportunity to learn Welsh as well.

 

We extend our philosophy of excellent care to parents as well.

We welcome parents at the nursery and keep parents informed via daily reports, newsletters, parents' evenings and our website. We acknowledge how difficult it can be to leave your child and will do our utmost to assist you when your child is settling or with any queries you may have.
